Bathroom issues during crisis mode can be a challenge

Dealing with bathroom issues in survival mode can be a challenge!

So what if you no longer have water running in your home? This goes beyond having water to drink. If you need to go to the bathroom, how will you flush the toilet if you don’t have running water?

Here are three excellent suggestions:

toilet paperStore water in 1 or 2 water storage. It doesn’t matter if you have cleaned out these pop bottles or not, because the water will be used to flush your toilet. Remember that you only have a limited number of these stored, so only flush when it is necessary. Just start storing this water as you have available bottles. But take every opportunity to store water for just this purpose.

Buy some kitty litter. Don’t get the cheap stuff that won’t even work for a cat. Buy the good stuff. A minimum of 2 of the 40- or 50-pound bags should be stocked. Along with this you will need a 5-gallon bucket. You can use this when you need to go defecate so that you can do it in the privacy of your space, wherever that space is. By filling the 5-gallon container halfway, you can then scoop out the waste easily and dispose of it in a plastic bag. You will be able to do this for quite a while if you buy good litter and take care of disposing of it right away. No mess, no odor.

Start saving those huge phone books that we all throw away the moment we get them. The paper is perfect as a toilet paper substitute. You can dispose of it in the bag that you place your waste in and keep your area clean and odor-free.

With just these three tips, you will be ahead of everyone else who is in survival mode. Take care of your family and yourself first.

You can only count on yourself!

You’re right, no one wants to talk about this, but we need to. If the Carnival Triumph taught us anything, it’s that we must be able to handle our bodily functions. Timely article indeed.

Boy, that was a mess wasn’t it? Of course, if you want to cruise, it has never been cheaper. All of the cruise lines are trying to climb out from under the recent disasters at sea.
